S C R I P T U R E S

This series remarks on our "self-medicating" nature as humans. More often than not, we're coping with everyday life in a variety of ways - in this age we rely on prescription drugs to aid us. We are a society of instant gratification and with that comes the demand for control of our physical being; Xanax for anxiety, Adderall to wake up, Ambien to sleep, and so on.

With this ability to falsify ups, downs, and our bodies in general we forget about the "medicines" we actually need - the good stuff that makes us genuinely feel better. Similar to following a scripture in religious text, this series draws the observer in with approachable medical imagery while denoting exactly what the doctor ordered. All pieces are accompanied by a glass pill jar boasting items that further each work in the series.
