[ B ] A D A G E S

Throughout the years, we’ve come to know and repeat little anecdotes with big meaning - those colloquial “words of wisdom” said during different experiences in life, more formally, known as adages. Most are as old as time, they’ve pervaded historical literature, been said to us by an elder, or even become the mantras we grow to live by.

The [B]adages series explores these common sayings with an austerely retort following each - this urges the observer to think about what the adage is truly saying, and its actual validity in our modern world. All works in this series are additionally boasted through contemporary mixed media, found papers, and familiar imagery surrounding each topic. The composition and colors have been methodically chosen with a primary color palette to further denote the ancient, basic nature of the verbiage themselves.
